Meet Rhyah - The Heart Behind Act 2 Fitness
I grew up athletic — playing multiple sports and even planning to study to become a personal trainer at 23. But then life shifted. I met my soulmate, started a family, and poured my energy into raising four incredible children. Somewhere along the way, though, I stopped taking care of myself. The weight crept on, the pain settled in, and the vibrant woman I once knew felt like a memory.
Over the years, I tried countless times to lose weight and reclaim my former level of fitness, but life kept happening. I found myself stuck on a constant roller coaster of losing and regaining weight. By February of 2024, at 43 years old, I had reached a point of resignation. I was convinced I’d be overweight and in pain for the rest of my life — that this was just what happened as you got older. I didn’t like the way I felt, but I was defeated.
So, I prayed. I asked God to give me the will to take care of the amazing body He created for me — and He delivered. He led me to the perfect gym, and over the next 18 months I lost 55 pounds, built muscle, restored my confidence, healed my dowager’s hump, reduced my knee pain, and found passion again.
Fitness restored parts of my life I never thought I’d see again — confidence, energy, joy, and the ability to live pain-free. It gave me back strength and a sense of purpose I didn’t even realize I had lost. Now I want to shout from the rooftops to every woman who feels stuck or unseen: your story isn’t over! You can start again. You can feel strong again. You can reach your goals!
Witnessing my own transformations led me to revisit my lifelong dream of becoming a personal trainer. Today, I’m certified in personal training and nutrition coaching, and continue to work toward the title of Master Trainer. Act 2 Fitness was built on a firm foundation of faith, perseverance, and empowerment. My mission is to help women in their 40s and beyond reclaim their health, confidence, and strength — one step at a time. It would be an honor to walk beside you in your own Act 2.
